This Privacy Policy explains how Profenx collects, uses, and protects the personal information you provide through this website (www.profenx.com).

Who we are

Profenx is a media technology company with offices at 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom, and Meydan Grandstand, Meydan, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Profenx is the data controller of personal information collected through this site.

If you have any questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at privacy@profenx.com.

What information we collect

We only collect the information you actively provide to us. This is limited to:

  • Contact form submissions. When you use the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect your name, email address, company name (if provided), the topic you selected, and the content of your message.
  • Direct email. If you write to any of our published email addresses (for example info@profenx.com, investors@profenx.com or partnerships@profenx.com), we receive the information you include in that email.

We do not use analytics tools, tracking cookies, session replay, advertising pixels, or any other passive collection on this site at present. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry.
  • Follow up with you about matters relevant to your enquiry (for example, sharing an Information Memorandum with an investor who has requested one, or continuing a partnership discussion).
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not use it for marketing to unrelated products or services.

Legal basis for processing

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, our legal basis for processing your information is one of:

  • Consent, when you voluntarily submit an enquiry.
  • Legitimate interest, in following up with prospective investors, partners, journalists, or creators who have made contact.
  • Legal obligation, where we are required by law to retain or disclose information.

Who has access to your information

Your information is accessed only by Profenx team members who need it to respond to your enquiry. We use the following third-party services that may process the data as part of delivering it to us:

  • Netlify hosts our website and processes contact form submissions. Netlify's own privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.
  • Our email provider handles the delivery of email correspondence.

Both of these are engaged as data processors and are contractually required to protect your information.

International transfers

Our hosting and email providers may store or process data on servers located outside the UK or the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under UK and EU law.

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry information for as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on the enquiry, and thereafter for a reasonable period to maintain business records. Typically this is no longer than three years from the last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or a longer period is required by law.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

  • Access a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Ask us to delete your information (subject to certain exceptions).
  • Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information.
  • Ask us to transfer your information to another provider.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@profenx.com.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

This site does not currently set any cookies, first-party or third-party. Should this change in the future, we will update this policy and provide a means to consent to or reject non-essential cookies before they are set.
